The Hundred Years War rages on, with tensions between kingdoms growing ever more strained.
While Annise Gäric and her forces march on Castle Hill to retake the northern throne, her cousin, Rhea Loren, wages a naval war against Blackstone. Meanwhile, Roan Loren and Gwendolyn Storm struggle to breach the gnarled, vine-choked undergrowth of the Tangle in their quest to reach Knight's End and learn more of the true purpose of the fatemarked.
In the south, a Calypsian empress is murdered, and her daughters fight to claim the empire and wage a civil war against their estranged father's armies. In Phanes, slavery runs rampant while a rebel group fights to free the oppressed people. A master named Jai Jiroux looks to help the rebel cause, an act of treason punishable by death.
Surrounding the Four Kingdoms is the pall cast by the Kings' Bane, who continues his quest to kill eight rulers and thus fulfill the Western Oracle's ancient prophecy, which he believes will pave to way to peace across the realms.

I have just finished book #2(Truthmarked) and I have already purchased the other 3 books in the series. At first I was not liking the multiple story lines and the moving back and forth between characters. I have since become enthralled with the characters and how the story or more stories all enhance the complete story line. This style caused multiple cliffhangers. Leaving me cussing, only to get pulled into the next character and left hanging again. This is not a criticism, but a great way of keeping me up half the night reading.(once all night). Thank you for a wonderful read. I am definitely a fan. As I finish this note, I am already anticipating book 3.Product details

Truthmarked The Fatemarked Epic Book 2 eBook David Estes Reviews
I think i enjoyed this book most of the entire series, although i don't particularly like Rhea and this is Rhea heavy.
Characters and world are well developed, the twists are clever and keep you wanting more. Really love the little "booklets" at the end that round out your understanding of the whole picture. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I'm really enjoying this series, particularly as it continues to wind up. Solid character development, and I'm finally following the jumps between Kingdoms.
I have to admit that this series is triggering so many different emotions. Some of the characters are so pure and good, others are wicked,... Yet I have the feeling that my opinion might change since there is still so much to come. I shed a few tears this time, and shouted YES! at some point. Some scenes made me angry, other scenes made my heart do a few backflips. I can't deny that this is one of the best series I've read and I'm not even halfway through the books.
After reading the first book, I actually enjoyed Truthmarked even more. It always takes me some time to sync back into the next chapter as the author likes to change protagonists with each, but the larger story continues to evolve and weave together. By the end of each chapter, I kept finding I wanted more. Overall, this is an excellent epic storyline, with a complex narrative and interesting characters. I look forward to reading this all the way through to its conclusion.
I liked. Complicated, but easy to follow if you pay attention.. Well developed characters, excellent presentation of an epic power struggle with romance at every turn. I recommend it..
For the most part I liked the storyline of this book - until it got into the gay or bi agenda. I quit reading it because I do not enjoy reading about men being in love with men and men kissing men. I don't want to come off as an LGBT basher so I'll leave it there. I only wish that I had known from the ads that this series dealt with that subject so I could have saved my money.
